Asfbin (Decompression Error)

Problem: "Decompression error: VCM decoding driver is not available"

Bei Verwendung des Parameters "-rkf" gibt Asfbin unter Umständen die Fehlermeldung "Decompression error: VCM decoding driver is not available" aus, wie im Folgenden zu sehen:

Checking VCM Drivers:
 FourCC MPG4 is unsupported,
 FourCC MP42 is unsupported,
 FourCC MP43 is unsupported,
 FourCC WMV3 is unsupported,
 There is no Microsoft MPEG-4 Video driver installed (mpg4c32.dll).
Please, download all required codec from the following location:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediatech40/install/8.0/win98me/en-us/wmpcdcs8.exe
 There is no Windows Media Video 9 VCM driver installed (wmv9vcm.dll).

Am Anfang der geschnittenen Blöcke ist das Bild erst für ein paar Sekunden schwarz oder steht.

Lösung

Den VCM (Video Compression Manager) bei Microsoft unter folgender URL herunterladen und installieren: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/de/9series/codecs/vcm.aspx

Nun funktioniert Asfbin wieder einwandfrei:
